DJ Cooper claims Basketball Champions League Asia Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American DJ Cooper (183-PG-1990) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Dewa United Banten and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 35-year old playmaker got a double-double of 10 points and 14 assists, while his team beat Hitech (#2, 3-3) 103-97. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Dewa United to consolidate first place in the Basketball Champions League Asia. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Dewa United has a very solid 4-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Cooper just recently signed at Dewa United, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ohio University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cooper is league's best passer with 14.2apg. Cooper is in league's top in and averages solid 2.7spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Accheaus Fields (189-G-1997) of second-ranked Hitech Bangkok City. Fields impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 34 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Hitech lost that game 97-103 to slightly higher-ranked Dewa United (#1, 4-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Hitech still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 3-3 record is not bad at all. Fields is one of the most experienced players at Hitech and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.7ppg (#5). He also registered 5.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Dewa United's star - American Joshua Ibarra (211-C-1995). Ibarra scored 27 points and grabbed 21 rebounds (!!!). Despite Ibarra's great performance the Dewa United Banten lost 70-83 to #3 ranked Johor Tigers. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Dewa United needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Ibarra has a great season in Basketball Champions League Asia. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.3ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 14.2rpg (#1 in league). He also has 2.2spg, 1.7bpg and a FGP of 51.1%.
